PMBI Offering-Specific Terms
CANalitica Professional Services Inc. Effective Date: July 29, 2026
These PMBI Offering-Specific Terms (“Offering Terms”) supplement, and form part of the Documentation under, the Microsoft Standard Contract (“Agreement”) that governs Customer’s Order for CANalitica PMBI (the “Offering”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Agreement.
These Offering Terms do not modify, limit, or expand the license grant, warranties, indemnification, limitation of liability, term, termination, or governing-law provisions of the Agreement. If anything in these Offering Terms conflicts with the Agreement, the Agreement controls.
1. Free Trials
A free trial may be available on select plans. Trial length and terms are set out on the applicable Marketplace listing at the time Customer places an Order. We may modify or discontinue free trial offers at any time.
2. How PMBI Works
PMBI provides Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and related dashboards based on Customer Data that Customer or its End Users upload or connect, delivered through embedded Power BI reports. Available features, End User limits, data-commit limits, and data-connection types (Excel/CSV upload, or direct SQL Server connection on qualifying plans) depend on Customer’s plan, as described on the Marketplace listing.
3. Infrastructure Dependencies
PMBI is hosted on Microsoft Azure, in the Canada Central and Canada East regions, and depends on Azure services, including Power BI, for availability and performance. We do not currently publish a separate Service Level Agreement under Section 4 of the Agreement; availability of the Offering is subject to the underlying Azure and Power BI service health, which Microsoft publishes at https://status.azure.com. Customers with formal uptime requirements should review the Azure and Power BI SLAs directly, as those govern the infrastructure PMBI runs on.
4. AI Summary Feature
On select plans, PMBI offers an optional “AI Summary” feature that generates a plain-language narrative describing project health, based on a structured summary of the project’s EVM metrics submitted to a third-party AI model provider. This feature:
- Is optional and only runs when an End User actively requests it;
- Summarizes data already present in PMBI — it does not perform independent analysis or access information beyond what is submitted to it;
- May occasionally misinterpret results, particularly for early-stage projects or data containing anomalies;
- Should be treated as a communication aid, not an authoritative assessment, and reviewed against the underlying report data.
Availability of this feature depends on the applicable third-party AI provider’s service health.
5. Support
Email support is available at pmbisupport@canalitica.ca for questions about platform features, navigation, data table requirements, troubleshooting, and account questions. This is the “technical support for the Offering” referenced in the Agreement’s Support Data provisions.
Support does not include: preparation, cleaning, or formatting of Customer’s source data; design or validation of Customer’s WBS structure; configuration of Customer’s internal databases, firewalls, or network settings; or project management/EVM methodology advice beyond the PMBI User Guide. Customers who need hands-on help with these matters may separately engage CANalitica for a consulting arrangement outside this Offering; contact pmbisupport@canalitica.ca to discuss.
6. Data Handling Following Cancellation or Termination
Following expiration, cancellation, or termination of Customer’s subscription, Customer Data is retained for up to 90 days to permit reactivation or export, after which it is deleted from production systems, followed by removal from backups per our standard backup rotation. Customer is responsible for exporting any Customer Data it wishes to retain before the end of that period. This provision addresses data handling only and does not affect the license termination or refund/credit terms already set out in Section 10 of the Agreement.
7. SQL Connection Credentials
If Customer connects PMBI to a SQL Server data source, connection credentials are encrypted and used solely to retrieve data during uploads and reporting snapshots. We recommend Customer use a dedicated, read-only database account for this connection.
8. Additional Use Requirements
In addition to the restrictions in Section 1.6 of the Agreement, Customer and its End Users must not:
- Attempt to access another organization’s workspace, data, or Power BI dataset, or circumvent tenant-isolation controls;
- Share End User credentials, or allow access to the Offering by anyone other than the individual to whom credentials were issued.
9. Subprocessors
A current list of subprocessors used to provide the Offering, including for the AI Summary feature, is maintained as part of our Privacy Policy at PMBI Subprocessor Disclosure. Consistent with Section 2.3(d) of the Agreement, we will provide at least 14 days’ notice before a new subprocessor is given access to Personal Data.
