Hybrid Connection Client

Connecting to Your SQL Server (Hybrid Connections)
If you’re on a plan that supports direct SQL Server connectivity, PMBI uses a secure hybrid connection to reach your database without exposing it to the public internet. When you request a connection, we’re notified automatically and configure it on our end — once that’s done, a connection string will appear directly in your PMBI app for you to use. No firewall changes or VPN setup required on your side. For full setup steps, see the User Guide. This step is not required when using Excel or CSV files.

List of Outbound IPs:

If your organization restricts inbound network access (for example, to your SQL Server instance), you’ll need to allow traffic from PMBI’s outbound IP addresses listed below. Add these to your firewall or network security group’s allow-list so PMBI can securely connect to your database. This is typically a one-time setup step handled by your IT or network administrator. This step is not required when using Excel or CSV files.
